The Petra Buddy Hunt is a fun start to the Senior school year, involving form 1’s and 4’s working together on a scavenger hunt which includes racing around the school looking for people and places to either do required tasks or gather information or signatures. This serves three purposes: it’s fun, it builds relationships and it helps make the campus a familiar place.
“It was tiring!” one of the form ones said. “But I learned that teamwork really matters – because if I ran ahead of my team-mates, I would arrive and realise I needed them to win! And I also learned things about my school – where things are and where to find people.”
Petra College is set against bullying or any form of discrimination because of age, race, gender or anything else and so we believe this buddy hunt is a small step in ensuring we build a family that cares for all its members.
